Zakaat-ul-Fitr:

Ibn `Abbaas (radiyallaahu `anhumaa) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) obligated Zakaat-ul-Fitr as a purification for the fasting person from loose talk and indecent speech, and to feed the poor. And whoever gives it before the Salaah then it is an acceptable Zakaah, and whoever gives it after the Salaah then it is merely a Sadaqah.”
