Breaking the Fast (Iftaar):
Anas (radiyallaahu `anhu) said: “The Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) used to break the fast with fresh dates before praying, and if not with fresh dates then with dried ones, and if not with dates then with some mouthfuls of water.”

The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said:
“Three supplications are answered: that of the fasting person, that of the one being oppressed and that of the traveller.”
Authenticated by Al-Albaanee (Saheeh-ul-Jaami`, 3030).
The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said:
“There are three whose supplications are not rejected: the fasting person when he breaks the fast, the just ruler and the supplication of the oppressed.”
Authenticated by Ibn-ul-Mulaqqin (Al-Badr-ul-Muneer, 5/152; Tuhfat-ul-Muhtaaj, 1/561), Ahmad Shaakir (Al-Musnad, 15/189) and Al-Albaanee (Sunan-ut-Tirmidhee, 2526).
The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said:
“He who gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, will receive the same reward as him, except that nothing will be reduced from the fasting person’s reward.”
