The Kufr (Disbelief) of the one who Abandons the Salaah:
The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said: “Verily, between a man and Shirk and Kufr is leaving the Salaah.”
Reported by Muslim (242).
The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said: “The covenant that differentiates between us and them is the Salaah; whoever leaves it has disbelieved.”

As-Sakhaawee indicated its authenticity (Al-Ajwibat-ul-Mardiyyah, 2/818).
The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said:
“I have been ordered to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, and establish Salaah and give Zakaah, so if they perform that, then they protect their lives and wealth from me except when justified by Islam, and then their reckoning will be with Allaah (in secret matters).”

The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said: “Do not leave any prescribed prayer deliberately; whoever does so deliberately then he has freed himself from the protection (of Allaah and His Messenger).”

Al-`Iraaqee said: “Its narrators are reliable.” (Takhreej-ul-Ihyaa’, 1/201). Al-Bazzaar (Al-Bahr-uz-Zakhkhaar, 10/82) and Al-Haithamee (Al-Majma`, 7115) also gave fairly similar comments.
The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever leaves `Asr Salaah will have his deeds annulled.”

`Abdullaah ibn `Amr (radiyallaahu `anhumaa) narrated from the Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) that he mentioned the Salaah one day and said:
“Whoever observes it regularly will have a light and a proof and salvation from the Fire on the Day of Judgement, and whoever does not observe it regularly will have no light, no salvation and no proof, and on the Day of Judgement he will be with Qaaroon, Fir`aun, Haamaan and Ubayy ibn Khalaf!”

Al-Haithamee said: “Its narrators are reliable.” (Al-Majama`, 1/292).
The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said: “The head of the matter is Islam, its pillar is Salaah and its peak is Jihaad.”

Aboo Sa`eed Al-Khudree (radiyallaahu `anhu) said: “`Alee ibn Abee Taalib (radiyallaahu `anhu) sent from Yemen a piece of gold not yet taken out of its ore, in a tanned leather container to the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) . He distributed that amongst four persons: `Uyainah ibn Badr, Aqra` ibn Haabis, Zaid Al-Khaleel and the fourth was either `Alqamah or `Aamir ibn At-Tufayl. On that, one of his companions said:
“We were more deserving of this (gold) than these (persons).” When that news reached the Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam), he said:
“Do you not trust me while I am the trustworthy man of the One in the Heavens? I receive the news of Heaven (i.e. Divine Revelation) both in the morning and in the evening.” Then, there got up a man with sunken eyes, raised cheekbones, a raised forehead, a thick beard, a shaven head and a waist sheet that was tucked up and he said:
“O Messenger of Allaah! Fear Allaah!” The Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said:
“Woe to you! Am I not of all the people of the earth the most entitled to fear Allah?” Then the man turned away. Khaalid ibn Al-Waleed (radiyallaahu `anhu) said:
“O Messenger of Allaah! Shall I strike his neck (with the sword)?” The Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said:
“No; I think that he observes Salaah.”

The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said:
“The first thing about which a slave will be reckoned on the Day of Judgement is Salaah; if it is found to be all right then so will be all of his deeds, and if it is spoiled then so will all his other deeds.”

The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said:
“The first thing that you will lose from your religion is trustworthiness, and the last thing you will lose from it is Salaah.”
Authenticated by Al-Albaanee (As-Saheehah, 1739; Saheeh-ul-Jaami`, 2575).
Al-Miswar ibn Makhramah narrated that `Umar ibn Al-Khattaab (radiyallaahu `anhu) said: “There is no share in Islam for the one who leaves Salaah.”
Authenticated by Al-Albaanee (Al-Irwaa’, 1/225), Al-Hilaalee (Al-Muwatta’, 86) and `Amr Saleem (Al-Manhaj-us-Salafee, p.176).
`Abdullaah ibn Shaqeeq narrated that Aboo Hurairah (radiyallaahu `anhu) said:
“The companions of the Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) did not consider that abandoning any deed made a person a Kaafir (disbeliever), apart from abandoning the Salaah.”
Authenticated by Adh-Dhahabee (Talkhees-ul-Mustadrak, 1/6), Ibn-ul-Mulaqqin (Tuhfat-ul-Muhtaaj, 1/575) and Al-Albaanee (Ath-Thamr-ul-Mustataab, 1/52; Hidaayat-ur-Ruwaah, 551).
It also narrated as a statement of `Abdullaah ibn Shaqeeq and was authenticated by An-Nawawee (Al-Khulaasah, 1/245; Al-Majmoo`, 3/16; Riyaad-us-Saaliheen, 382), Ibn-ul-Mulaqqin (Al-I`laam, 9/53; Tuhfat-ul-Muhtaaj, 1/575), Al-`Iraaqee (Tarh-ut-Tathreeb, 2/146), Ibn Hajar (1/280-281), As-Sakhaawee (Al-Ajwibat-ul-Mardiyyah, 2/819), Al-Albaanee (Saheeh-ut-Targheeb, 564), Al-Hilaalee (Bahjat-un-Naazireen, 1080; Mawsoo`at-ul-Manaahee, 1/301-302) and others.
