The Obligation of the Khutbah (Sermon) for Jumu`ah:
The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) said:
“If you say to your companion: ‘Be silent’, while the Imaam is delivering the Khutbah then you have surely talked nonsense.”
